Registration Fees
Selected applicants will pay a one-time, non-refundable participation fee of CHF 500 for a period of 1 month
It covers administrative costs, exhibition space, promotion on the gallery’s website and social media.
Inclusion in online store and digital display (2 months)
Payment is due upon confirmation of selection and must be completed before artwork delivery or installation.
The gallery does not cover shipping or framing costs — those remain the artist’s responsibility.
Presentation Requirements
All artworks must be ready to hang, fitted with secure hooks at the back.
Works on paper should be framed; canvases should be stretched and finished neatly on all sides.
Each artwork should come with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist
The gallery reserves the right to reject any work that is damaged, unsafe, or not professionally presented upon delivery.
Sales Commission
The gallery retains 40% of the final selling price of each artwork sold during the exhibition period.
The remaining 60% goes to the artist, typically transferred within 30 days after the sale has been settled. (e.g., if your artist retail price is CHF 1,000, you will receive CHF 600).
The gallery handles sales transactions directly with collectors and manages delivery if required.
Prints Requirements
Artists are required to provide high-quality prints of their original works for display or sale.
Prints allow visitors and collectors to purchase affordable reproductions while the originals remain available for higher-value collectors.
The prints must match the quality and color accuracy of the original and should be signed and numbered (if limited edition).
The gallery may also promote prints through its online shop.
Curatorial Selection
All submissions undergo a curated selection process by Somnium Meum’s art directors and curatorial team.
Selection criteria include: artistic quality, originality, coherence of style, presentation, and compatibility with the exhibition’s aesthetic and thematic vision.
The decision of the gallery is final for the selection process
It is essential to provide prints of the submitted artworks for sale
Delivery, Insurance and Return
Artists are responsible for delivering and collecting their works to/from the gallery at their own expense.
The gallery takes reasonable care and security measures during the exhibition but does not assume full liability for loss or damage; artists are encouraged to arrange their own insurance.
Works must be delivered and collected within the dates specified by the gallery; late collection may incur storage fees.
Artwork Specification
Accepted media: original painting, sketches, mixed media
Not accepted: nude artworks, works requiring special installation (e.g., heavy structures, electronic components, reproductions).
Each selected artist can exhibit 4 to 8 artworks, depending on available space, artwork size and curatorial balance. One panel of 100 x 200 cms both front and back will be available for each artist.
Select artworks will be on window display during the exhibition
Promotion and Publicity
The gallery will promote the exhibition via its website, newsletter, media partners, and social channels
The gallery reserves the right to use submitted images of the artworks for promotional purposes (non-commercial, exhibition-related use only).
